Droša, tīra un efektīva enerģētika
Enerģijas patēriņa un oglekļa emisijas (pēdas) samazināšana, veicinot saprātīgu un ilgtspējīgu izmantošanuŠīs aktivitātes mērķis ir nodrošināt pāreju uz drošu, cenas ziņā pieejamu, sabiedrības atzītu, ilgtspējīgu un konkurētspējīgu enerģētikas sistēmu, kura samazinātu atkarību no fosilā kurināmā ņemot vērā to resursu samazināšanos, pieaugošo pieprasījumu pēc enerģijas un klimata pārmaiņas.
Šī programma atbalstīs pētījumus un inovāciju izstrādi par energoefektīvu, konkurētspējīgu, zema oglekļa dioksīda satura enerģētiku, kā arī viedajām pilsētām.
Enerģijas avoti un patēriņa modeļi Eiropas rūpniecībā, transportā, ēkās, pilsētās lielākoties ir diezgan neilgtspējīgi, radot būtisku ietekmi uz vidi un klimata pārmaiņām. ES mērķi paredz, ka 2020.gadā atjaunojamo energoresursu avotu īpatsvaram enerģijas patēriņā jāsasniedz 20%, vienlaikus tos izmantojot par 20% efektīvāk. Lai mērķi sasniegtu, būtiski jāpārstrukturē enerģētikas sistēma, vienlaikus saglabājot enerģētisko drošību un pieejamību.
Attīstot gandrīz nulles emisiju (pasīvās) ēkas, augsti efektīvas ražošanas nozares un energoefektīvu pieeju uzņēmumiem, privātpersonām, pašvaldībām un pilsētām būs nepieciešama ne tikai tehnoloģiju attīstība, bet arī ar tehnoloģijām nesaistīti risinājumi, piemēram, jauni konsultatīvie, finansēšanas un pieprasījuma pakalpojumi.
